It's one of the hottest US Senate races in the country!

Next Tuesday, DL21C is proud to host Missouri Secretary of State, and candidate for US Senate, Robin Carnahan.

Robin is running against former House member Roy Blunt, who was one of the most conservative Republicans in Congress. Recent polling lists the race as a dead heat, although Blunt's support has risen as backlash to the health care legislation..The Cook Political Report ranks this race as a "toss-up".

Program begins at 6:30pm sharp.

See you on the 20th!

About Secretary of State Carnahan:

Robin Carnahan is Missouri’s Secretary of State, first elected to the office in 2004 and re-elected in 2008 earning more votes than any candidate for any statewide office in Missouri history.

As a 5th generation Missourian who continues to manage her family's 900-acre cattle farm, Robin understands the challenges of small businesses and families in these tough economic times. Robin has taken on big financial institutions and fought to protect consumers - getting more than $10 billion back for tens of thousands of wronged investors.

As a voice for common sense and bipartisan solutions, she’s cut government red tape for small businesses, saving them time, money and resources so they can focus on running their business and creating new jobs. Robin also created and oversees Missouri’s Safe at Home address confidentiality program, which helps protect victims of domestic violence. A breast cancer survivor with a background in business and law, Robin has shown the common sense, toughness and determination that we need in the U.S. Senate to fight for us.

With Washington more broken than ever, we need strong leaders like Robin who can bring some common sense and accountability to government. Her parents Mel and Jean Carnahan instilled a deep sense of public service and a responsibility to help others and Robin’s record clearly shows her commitment to standing up for Missourians.

Robin lives in St. Louis, MO with her husband Juan Carlos.
