This Sunday, DL21C's Foreign Affairs Committee invites you to a
Meet and Greet Brunch with British MP Jon Trickett
on the Past, Present and Future of Labor Unions
$15 includes admission, plus buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos, french toast & home fries
Jon will compare what is happening in Wisconsin and in the US, with what happened during the 1984 Miner’s Strike in Britain, which resulted in a strong blow to organized labor. Parallels will be examined in today’s anti-union (public and private) rhetoric and actions by politicians on the right in the US.
