Join DL21C'ers on Saturday, November 19th for an important training on national security and military affairs, with national leaders from the Truman Project (www.trumanproject.org).
Reserve your spot ($20.00) HERE
Much has occurred in recent months; the assassination of Osama Bin Laden, U.S. lead military action into Libya, the drawdown of troops into Iraq and U.S. lead drone bombings all over the Middle East, not to mention the war in Afghanistan.
DL21C recognizes that "national security" is no longer just a national issue. State and local leaders are now asked to address many issues in a "security" context, from immigration to energy security, the readiness of police and firemen to National Guard readiness; as well as critical infrastructures and homeland security funding.Truman National Security boot camps are one-day trainings that provide progressive leaders with the foundations of national security understanding, and training in talking about tough issues.
As we draw closer to the 2012 national elections, U.S. foreign policy will play a major role in how voters will decide at the ballots. This event provides a fantastic opportunity to learn how to talk about these issues and become a more effective political communicator.
On Saturday, December 3, join DL21C for a nationally-recognized "boot camp" on national security, military affairs and foreign policy. This training will provide valuable skills to political/government staffers, candidates, and any civic-minded citizen, interested in learning how to communicate better on national security issues....A few spaces are still available...so don't miss this fantastic opportunity - see you on the 19th!
$20 includes training, printed training manuals, bagels and coffee, lunch and networking cocktail reception afterward.
Space is extremely limited, so make sure to purchase admission HERE ($20).

About the Truman Project
www.trumanproject.org
The Truman National Security Project is a national security leadership institute, the nation's only organization that recruits, trains, and positions a new generation of progressives across America to lead on national security. Its mission is to provide the skills, knowledge, and network to create an influential force of leaders across the country who advance strong progressive national security policy. Truman has trained future leaders running for office across the country, advised presidential and Congressional campaigns, drafted legislation in the halls of Congress, had members assume leadership posts in the military, played key roles in local and national government, and worked on the front lines of America's homeland security.
